The goal of indulgence in yoga meditation always was reaching God in present life time. And for this working for welfare of mankind at large all the time was necessitated. As all are children of God, in serving mankind… we were directly serving God Almighty in all his glory!
If we think of yoga meditation in terms of any benefit, we shall never achieve anything on path of spirituality. Higher levels of spiritual realms can be reached only when we subdued our ego in totality. In absence of I, working for self does not mean anything. We just could not desire opening our third eye. Everything in field of pure spirituality came as a byproduct.
When we served entire mankind diligently and sincerely all the time we were endowed with supernatural powers by God. When our kundalini awakens fully, when all our several chakras activated fully… our third eye opened forever. Opening of third eye means Sahasra Pushpa (thousand petalled Lotus) existing in our brain behind forehead opening fully. One immediately becomes an enlightened one.
Enlightenment in itself was a byproduct for serving mankind all the time from a young age. Engaging self in service of mankind must always be 100% selfless… almost similar to workings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa or Maharishi Ramana.
