Meditation is always indulged via path of contemplation, introspection… logical reasoning! If our goal of life was spiritual, where was the problem in indulging in contemplation? To understand anything in scriptures, one need following path of contemplation as nothing could be understood literally.
When we had a definite goal in life and that too spiritual, the zeal to pursue that goal comes from within. A true seeker never needs a catalyst to spur one on path of pure spirituality!
