In pursuit of God from six years of age I was always fascinated by mantras in Hinduism and also Jainism. Born a Jain I always asked elders in the family or outside to convey the exact meaning behind mantras. I even asked many Jain Munis the correct meaning of mantras but none could explain anything. Exasperated I contemplated and finally reached a conclusion… unless a human being reached stage of enlightenment one would never know the answers! To free myself from clutches of karma, bondage of karma, I developed my own mantra for Prarabdha karma.
Similarly to indulge in absolute celibacy (of which Brahmacharya Vrata was only a part), I developed my own mantra! It was just by hit and trial of many years. Finally indulging in mantra for Prarabdha karma I negated my karma to zero forever. I immediately reached stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi (state of absolute nothingness) when not a single thought entered our brain uninvoked. I finally realized self, realized god forever! My mother tongue is Hindi and all the mantras I spoke were in Hindi, never in Sanskrit. Though I have a good command in Sanskrit, I used my mother tongue Hindi to invoke inner meaning of all mantras! Mantras could be chanted in any language and the most beneficial would be our mother tongue. We could reach our inner self only through mother tongue, never an external language!
