Ego and True Self Our ego is false perception of Self Identity

Our ego is that false perception of self identity which keeps our true inner self obscured from human intellect (buddhi in Hinduism). Because of our ego we identified self with the physical manifest form. The reality was vice versa. Our true inner self was our soul atman, the spirit within existing in our heart. In absence of ego (Aham in Hinduism) no human being, no Jiva (living being) could exist, live its life on mother earth. Prompted by ego we continued our journey of life like a cyborg, unmindful of the cosmic journey lived by our true inner self… our soul atman, the consciousness within.

As our soul atman always remains passive, human beings took all decisions in life based on ego (our false perception of self). Only when human beings indulged in self introspection, contemplation one realized that cosmic truth of life lay elsewhere. We were primarily a spiritual being, a soul atman on its cosmic life cycle of 8.4 million manifestations that entailed an earthly journey of 96.4 million years. To realize our true inner self, reach our true inner self our indulgence in path of spirituality was necessitated. Realizing self in totality means gaining enlightenment, becoming a pure soul atman in the cosmic journey of life. By indulgence in path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom) human beings finally gained enlightenment.

As detailed in scriptures of Hinduism, the cosmic goal of life for human beings always remained reaching end stage of cosmic life, 8.4 millionth manifestation at the earliest. Becoming a pure soul atman is our ultimate goal of life. Whether we do it now in present life or leave it for future manifestations is our sole prerogative. Most human beings world over left this decision for next manifestation. They preferred travelling path of religion (rituals) that never led anywhere. One never reached god by going to temples, churches or mosques. In fact God Almighty truly existed within us in miniscule form as our soul atman, the consciousness within. Prime reason why self realization, god realization meant the same.
