As of date human form is the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle. The purpose of human life was simple… reaching our true inner self. In laymen terms it simply means we as a soul atman gaining absolute purity forever.
Human beings have been endowed with special power of discrimination that distinguishes us from animals. Exercising this power of discrimination human beings like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed became man gods in their lifetime, gaining enlightenment and finally salvation moksha at the end of earthly journey.
The moment we become a pure soul atman, the cosmic journey for a liberated soul ceases to exist.
Presuming highest manifest form of life on other life supporting planets in other parts of cosmos was distinct from human form… even then end goal of cosmic life always remained the same for all in entire cosmos. The end goal of any form of life always remained reaching stage of absolute purity as a soul atman, the spirit within. On mother earth stage of absolute purity can only be reached in human form, never lower forms of life. Similar would be the case on other planets in cosmos.
As detailed in Bhagavad Gita, every single human being on mother earth has to travel spiritual path one day to reach stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation moksha. Whether we do it now in present life or leave it for future manifestations is our sole prerogative.
