Scriptures of Hinduism were Self-Contained

Everything worth knowable on path of spirituality was contained in Bhagavad Gita, the sermon given to Arjuna by Lord Krishna in battle of Mahabharata. Lord Krishna came about 1077 years before coming of Gautama Buddha and about 1500 years earlier to coming of Jesus Christ.

Scriptures of Hinduism were self-contained. However for a traveler of spiritual path, whatever one could gather from Islamic or Christian preachers must be contemplated upon. There was always a possibility to learn something in life from elders of other religions of world.

As jnana wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita could not be easily assimilated, we must always keep our options open all the time. Whatever little we could learn from others should be acceptable.
