Hinduism is never termed a Religion but A Way of Life

From times immemorial… citizens of erstwhile Bharatvarsha (now India) were bonded together through inherent laws of discipline… a philosophy which was coined by Mahavira (24th Tirthankara of Jainism… preceptor) as… Live and let Live! This fundamental principle of life was applicable to all sects, castes, societies… religious and cultural groups living in India! The biggest power of India was art of forgiveness!

Forgiveness has been practiced in India as no one in the world ever would! Even in face of Greek, Roman, Mughal marauders attacking India from west … none in erstwhile Bharatvarsha repelled these forces resulting in India becoming a slave to these forces. Despite all… the citizens of India clung together through a very thin veiled thread of love and respect for all religions of world! With passage of time… people started calling Indians even cowards.

In the entire history of Hinduism, India has never despised any religion… no matter what! All were welcome in India. More than religion… people believed in existence of God in all affairs of life! So as not to displease God… people primarily confined their activities to their religion, faith! Absolute faith in God is the biggest binding factor of Hinduism… people living in India!

More than religion… it is cultural bonding that keeps India together! Amalgamation of cultures is an asset of India… seen nowhere around the world! People in India live in harmony… irrespective of what religion, faith, creed or belief one followed. Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism says… all were children of God! Prime reason… why Hinduism is not termed a religion… but A Way of Life!

No religion in world could ever be compared to Hinduism. Why? All enlightened ones right from Mahavira… Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed… owe their wisdom (jnana) to scriptures of Hinduism… primarily Bhagavad Gita, various Upanishads (independent treatises) and different Vedas (Hinduism revelations). The enlightened souls of recent times… Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana also belonged to India! Read more on Hinduism
