Religious Spiritual Guru a necessity or a Myth

There was nothing like practice of religion that existed in this world. By practice of religion what do we expect gaining in the end? Religion in itself means going to religious places, congregations to build awareness about religion and religious practices. One never reached God via path of religion (path of rituals), going to temples churches and mosques practically yielded nothing in domain of God.

When religion could not be practiced, why would one need a religious preacher? Holy men were required only for conducting religious rituals, nothing more. In the field of pure spirituality, spiritual masters were never forthcoming. In the last about 150 years amongst 7000 million people existing world over only two spiritual stalwarts Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana finally succeeded in reaching God. In the circumstances, could we expect to get a spiritual master to guide us in the journey of life?

As detailed in Bhagavad Gita, journey of spirituality is always travelled all alone. It has rightly been said, as many human beings as many paths to God Almighty can there be. All those having a religious or so-called spiritual guru feigned ignorance all the time. The goal of many was never reaching God but increasing worldly wealth, riches. Most religious or spiritual congregations were a mere sham.

A true spiritual preceptor, master like Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa or Maharishi Ramana would never build an ashram (Hermitage) of one’s own! It was not necessitated. Spiritual masters like Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana always lay on a cot answering queries of seekers. Sometimes the queue exceeded many miles.

Comparatively, in present times so-called religious or spiritual preachers in the name of religion or god did not hesitate in building ashrams after another. Such hoarders of physical wealth never truly gained anything in life. They had a truly narrow vision. Their physical accomplishments of present life would not carry to next life. All would be left behind when bells sound death knell.

I started in search of God six years of age. By 13 I finally decided to go in search of God wholeheartedly. 25 years of yoga meditation I finally succeeded in reaching God. I have become a pure soul atman in the cosmic journey of life. Right from six years of age not for a single moment I worked for my individual self. Welfare of entire mankind was always in my heart. No matter how best I may try, I would never succeed in opening an ashram (hermitage) for it was not necessitated.

No matter how best I tried I could never get a spiritual master to guide me in the journey of life. I finally followed path of contemplation, path of self enquiry, path of logical reasoning to reach God.

True seekers of God never ran after things that were ephemeral, short lived.
