The 330 Million Gods story Relates to Hindu Mythology not to Reality

When we showered praise on something or someone… it could take mammoth proportions! When we talked of Lord Krishna, it was always in absolute terms… why? Lord Krishna was born an ordinary mortal but with passage of time at a very young age his kundalini awakened fully. He was able to perform Herculean tasks beyond comprehension of commoners, masses. He was given the status of an avatar (God manifest in human form). In order to praise him, lots of stories in Hindu mythology do the rounds.

Some stories were beyond facts… highlighting Krishna as an extraterrestrial, an alien from above! Maryada Purushottam Rama is praised by Hindu poet-saint Tulsidas almost like an extraterrestrial possessing supernatural powers. Such praises were natural but still they were praises, never a reality!

Hinduism primarily is monotheistic… having one and only God (Brahman), the creator of entire cosmos (Brahmaand in Hinduism). All other gods and goddesses were simply attributes of Brahman (God). To shower praises, remember Brahman in all its glory… myriads of gods and goddesses were created in Hinduism. The 330 million gods’ story relates to Hindu mythology, not to reality! For travelers of spiritual path, seekers… 330 million gods of Hinduism carried no meaning.
