If we do not take extra efforts then our life was predestined and we were a slave to our destiny. All successful people in life do not believe in fate or destiny. They manifest their will, karma… indulgence in all affairs of life to gain absolute success.
If we need going to the top of Empire State building, we could either take the staircase or the fastest elevator. Both options were available. Those taking staircase think life was predestined, not in their control. Those taking the fastest elevator indulged in requisite karma to mould their destiny, become master and controller of life forever.
By indulging in positive karma, having a definite goal in life… we could channelize all our energies behind that single goal of life. All successful people had a definite goal in life. For those believing in predestined life there never was a goal in life. Their life was like a rudderless boat going round and round in the ocean. They frittered all their energies doing nothing that was fruitful, goal oriented.
