Consciousness existing in our body was the only truth of life. In absence of consciousness, the spirit within no living form on mother earth could ever survive. As detailed in Bhagavad Gita the present journey of life belongs to our soul atman, a consciousness within. Our soul atman manifest human form to work out its karma, remove dross impurities within.
Even after death of body this consciousness, our soul atman manifests another body to continue its cycle of life. Consciousness, our soul atman was immortal from the beginning of life. It is indestructible… could neither be created nor destroyed! From manifestation to manifestation soul atman within keeps changing form until it reaches last leg of cosmic life… 8.4 millionth manifestation!
The physical manifest body could be cloned, created (through stem cell technology) but never consciousness within.
