As per Bhagavad Gita all earthly relationships come to absolute naught the moment one reaches stage of enlightenment. Even when embarking on spiritual journey one was absolutely clear that slowly with passage of time all earthly relationships would be left behind one by one. For an enlightened one the whole world becomes one large family. Enlightenment is reached cutting shackles of Moha (extreme emotional attachment) and karma. When a soul atman gains absolute purity, in absence of dross impurities within… earthly relationships carried no meaning! One becomes a pure soul atman forever.
