The stage of perfection is achieved the moment we gained enlightenment in present life. Mahavira (24th Tirthankara of Jainism), Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed exactly did that. They finally crossed over from ephemeral life to a life of unbound consciousness… the stage of moksha salvation! An enlightened one after leaving mortal frame finally gains moksha salvation forever.
For an enlightened one the whole world becomes one large family. Not only to human form but even lower forms of life an enlightened one becomes lovable. Such is the clout enjoyed by an enlightened one that even birds and animals can feel the aura of an enlightened one. The highest stage human beings can evolve is the stage of enlightenment, stage of absolute perfection.
All human beings have been endowed with power of discrimination exercising which we can distinguish truth from false. Walking path of truthfulness all the time human beings can indulge in spirituality to reach God in their lifetime. Enlightenment can be gained by travelling path of spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita, the foremost of all sacred scriptures existing on mother earth.
Enlightenment cannot be gained via path of religion (path of rituals). The moment human beings reached stage of enlightenment our soul atman the spirit within gains absolute purity forever. This stage of total purity of a soul atman is termed absolute perfection in human form. In absence of dross impurities within a pure soul atman need not manifest a human body again.
