As detailed in scriptures of Hinduism, primarily Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads (independent treatises)… after death of human body on mother earth, based on residual balance of karma at the time of death… our soul atman immediately manifests a new body to start new cycle of life.
The closing balance of present life becomes opening balance for next manifestation. It was totally based on residual balance of karma; our soul atman manifests the new body.
To manifest a bright future, it is imperative that we indulged in good karma, positive karma in present life. The whole western world follows this principle of life even though they know nothing about Bhagavad Gita or Upanishads. Karma is the governing ingredient of cosmic system.
