Nishkama Karma Yoga relates to Positive Karma Good Karma alone Never Bad Karma

Nishkama karma yoga is a precept that relates to pure spirituality. Anything that was negative does not relate to spirituality. If we talk of nishkama karma yoga then it relates to positive karma, good karma alone.

Indulging in good karma, positive karma… nishkama karma way of life results in consequences never affecting us. A true spiritual person, one who indulges in nishkama karma yoga worked for welfare of mankind at large all the time. In the circumstances, how could results of that karma affect one negatively?

If at any stage of life we indulged in bad karma, then we shall get punished for the same based on inscrutable law of karma… as we sow so shall we reap nothing less or more.

The doctrine of nishkama karma yoga had nothing to do with indulging in good karma or bad karma. The doctrine of nishkama karma yoga simply says… the fruits of karma performed do not belong to the incumbent. Indulging in nishkama karma yoga is working like a trustee. For a true trustee everything belonged to God Almighty. One was only an instrument in hands of God Almighty doing his bidding. In the trusteeship concept God was owner of everything cosmic. We as a soul atman, the consciousness within were only an instrument playing our role.

Spirituality demands our indulgence in positive karma, good karma all the time. Jnana (wisdom) contained in Bhagavad Gita by Lord Krishna demands our indulgence in introspection. Nothing in sermon of Bhagavad Gita could be understood literally.
