The greatest and the only God, creator of entire cosmos was Brahman in all its glory. The entire purpose of indulging in spirituality was reaching Brahman. The whole essence of Bhagavad Gita lay in the fact that we were truly a spiritual being manifesting human form. Indulging in spirituality, yoga meditation we finally realized our true inner self existing in our heart.
Realization of self means realization of god. We were not distinct from God Almighty. If an individual grain of sand is an independent soul atman, the whole mound God Almighty. In absence of dross impurities within, we as a pure soul atman finally merged with God Almighty.
In Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna clearly says that we must offer all our prayers worship directly to Brahman and never attributes of God Almighty… various gods and goddesses!
The ultimate purpose of human life was reaching Brahman. We could do it now in present life by undertaking spiritual journey or leave it for future manifestations.
