When I started in search of God six years of age, myriads of thoughts passed through my brain every second of life. No matter how best I tried, this incessant flow of thoughts continued as if I had no control over them. I was right; I truly had no control over their invocation. It was almost a free for all situation.
13 years of age I finally formed my ultimate goal of life, to go after God Almighty wholeheartedly. But before finalizing my goal I went through the following two books of Napoleon Hill – “Think and Grow Rich” and “Law of Success” which were given to me by a relative.
These two books of Napoleon Hill helped we finalize my goal of life. The moment I had a goal, my power of concentration started increasing much beyond my expectations. Having a goal in life is journey half covered. In absence of a goal life was like a rudderless boat going round and round in the ocean.
For increasing your power of concentration you do not need indulging in yoga meditation. First you must form a definite goal in life. Then putting all pure eggs in one basket, go after it with bulldog determination exhibited by Swami Vivekananda. You will never regret you did it.
Yoga meditation is not a defined path. Yoga meditation is the medium, the pathway to reach God in present life. As many human beings as many paths to God Almighty can there be. We can indulge in yoga meditation only through path of contemplation, path of logical reasoning.
All my life I indulged in self enquiry, the path followed by Maharishi Ramana one who reached God in his lifetime. For indulgence in yoga meditation no training was necessitated. It was not something that could be learnt from someone. Indulgence in self enquiry, logical reasoning has to be initiated by self.
Regarding yoga meditation those who preached otherwise were total ignorants of spiritual path. Such human beings never reached God in their lifetime. To understand anything related to yoga meditation we must read everything relating to Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana, the two spiritual stalwarts who succeeded in reaching God in their lifetime via path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom).
Following path stated above, I succeeded in increasing my power of concentration to infinity. The moment you start pursuing your goal with all enthusiasm and zeal, the incessant flow of thoughts to your brain would start decreasing day by day. Lesser the invocation of thoughts, greater your power of concentration!
In my case, I succeeded in stopping flow of incessant thoughts to my brain in totality, reaching stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi, when not a single thought flowed to our brain uninvoked. The following two books by Napoleon Hill “Think and Grow Rich” and “Law of Success” are worth their weight in gold.
My advice is, go to nearest bookstore and get copies of the above two books. It is only a matter of time when you finally succeed in increasing your power of concentration phenomenally.
