Mahavira did not believe in power of miracles. Once an elderly person with something in hand covered with cloth approached Mahavira. Even from a distance Mahavira understood what it was all about. The moment the elderly person contacted Mahavira for his benevolence, grace… Mahavira replied do not come to me for just by touching your child I could never bring him to life. As per Mahavira, nothing like miracles existed in this world.
