Presently we come across video games that take multi-million dollars for its development. These interactive games almost look very real. What if the characters in it lived real-life life human beings! Why were the video games created when human beings had much more important things at hand! Just for the sake of pleasure or passing time.
The same is the case with human life. We were not the controllers but actors in the stage of life. The control of all human beings lay in hands of consciousness, soul atman existing in our heart. Through a network of souls atmans God Almighty controlled everything in cosmos yet acted as Dhrishta (onlooker) never interfering in creation of his. The life of a human being was directly governed by our ego.
Mounted with ego we feel we were not the actors but the masters of self. This anomaly leads human beings towards indulgence in karma. If ego did not exist, mankind would have failed to indulge in karma. The whole cosmos would have decayed and died.
Bhagavad Gita the most spiritual document available on mother earth clearly says, we are not supposed to ask why God created the whole cosmos, the only one question prohibited asking in Bhagavad Gita!
In doctrine of Maya (veil of illusion) Adi Shankaracharya explains that other than God Almighty (Brahman in Hinduism) nothing exists in cosmos. It is only due to Maya we feel the visual world as existing. As the present cosmos does not seem to have a boundary, it could just exist in thoughts of God Almighty, says Adi Shankaracharya. What if there was a boundary, then what beyond?
Imagine the world of viruses, bacteria… do they have any life! From human point of view… absolutely no, simply non-significant! But for viruses and bacteria… they were living beings! Only because we were macroscopic in size, we rejected the community of viruses, bacteria. Imagine the status of a human being in terms of God Almighty (Brahman), the creator of entire cosmos. We were not even the size of virus, bacteria for God Almighty!
