Lord Shiva represents that Stage of Absolute Purity as a Soul Atman could only be Achieved by Full Awakening of Kundalini Shakti Never Before

If we do not mix mythology with spirituality, we could reach the hidden underlying truth. There has never been one like Lord Shiva or Lord Vishnu on mother earth. Both Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu were attributes of God Almighty, having nothing to do with absolute reality. Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita explicitly says to offer all players, worship directly to Brahman (God Almighty) and never the attributes. In the circumstances, terming one an avatar of Lord Vishnu was meaningless, misguiding.

The spiritual truth of life always was Lord Shiva denotes a pure soul atman. The coiled serpent in the neck of Shiva represents full awakening of kundalini shakti, the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine. Lord Shiva represents that stage of absolute purity as a soul atman could only be achieved by full awakening of kundalini shakti, never before. Lord Krishna was the first avatar of present era, a rightful person to the core… one who finally succeeds in re-establishing Dharma (righteousness).

Almost all episodes contained in mythology were symbolic, allegorical… metaphorical to explain the hidden unexplored fundamental truths of life contained in scriptures of different religions of world.
