Yoga does not give cosmic energy, it rather connects with cosmic energy, primordial cosmic power we called God Almighty (Brahman in Hinduism). It was indulging in yoga human beings reached God.
The most powerful cosmic energy was already available to mankind in form of sexual energy, the most potent of all energies made available to mankind by grace of God Almighty. Channelizing sexual energy towards the only goal of life… reaching God in present life, human beings finally gained enlightenment, moksha salvation! In absence of transmutation of sexual energy full awakening of kundalini shakti was not possible. 12 years practice of absolute celibacy was necessitated for full awakening of kundalini.
