For mankind, society to maintain its cohesiveness… people normally followed established cultural values of life as dictated by scriptures of different religions of world. None was prepared to bell the cat. It was not necessary as everything stated in prime scriptures was truth and only truth.
When some people had a different inclination in respect of their body, liking… the society definitely responded negatively towards such people. It was unavoidable, not palatable by masses.
The sexual activity was ordained by God only for procreation. It was also an act of pleasure and had it not been so… various Living entities would have never indulged in sex to continue progeny. Misinterpretation of sexual laws was not permitted by scriptures.
In yesteryears, such an activity definitely existed but was not common. The temples of Khajuraho in India were a living testimony to various acts of sexual indulgence. Whatever existed behind the curtain, if practiced in open would definitely be resisted by masses, commoners… not acceptable to society at large! For the fear of sending a wrong message to their children, society resists such attempts and would continue to do so even in near future.
