As detailed in Hinduism scriptures anything that was inanimate, did not possess a consciousness, a soul atman within was dead matter… having nothing to do with life on mother earth! Every single scripture of Hinduism was absolutely clear on this point of life.
Every single soul atman started its cosmic journey on mother earth as an amoeba (first manifestation in cosmic life cycle); it further evolves into multi-cell formation… then insect life, plant life, animal life and finally the human form.
Rocks were inert matter without any consciousness within. One born a human would normally be reborn as a human after death. Only in cases where one indulged in atrocities untold like Hitler (due to whom millions of Jews died unnatural death)… one would definitely be reborn in a lower form of life that of an animal or even an insect. The doctrine of rebirth, reincarnation as detailed in Hinduism was infallible.
