Concept of Nonbelievers going to Hell does not Hold Good in Hinduism

The concept of nonbelievers going to hell does not hold good… in Hinduism. Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita explicitly says that Hell (naraka) was a place for hibernation of souls’ atmans. After death of mortal body, the released soul atman immediately manifests a new body. If matching parents are not available, the soul atman hibernates in heaven or hell… in hell if the residual balance of karma at the time of death was negative. No sooner matching parents become available… the hibernating soul atman immediately manifests a new body to start new journey of life on mother earth.

Going to heaven or hell was directly dependent on residual balance of karma at the time of death. The concept of heaven and hell does not relate to beliefs. Moreover souls’ atmans went to heaven or hell… never the physical manifest body!
