In absence of consciousness existing in our heart, we were inert matter. The moment this consciousness leaves the body… we would decay and die! As detailed in Hinduism scriptures we were primarily a spiritual being, a soul atman on its cosmic life cycle of 8.4 million manifestations. As a soul atman we manifest human form to work out our karma, remove dross impurities within. At all stages of life our consciousness, soul atman within was governing… never the manifest physical human form!
