Our spirit… our soul atman, the consciousness within both meant the same. Reaching our true inner self existing within our heart was not that easy prime reason why in last about 150 years amongst 7 billion people existing world over only two spiritual stalwarts Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana finally succeeded in reaching their spirit, realizing self in their lifetime.
One needs travelling path of pure spirituality to reach our spirit, our true inner self. Path of spirituality means indulgence in nishkama karma yoga, travelling path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom), practicing absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation, travelling path of absolute truthfulness all throughout and having 100% faith in God Almighty all the time. These were only some of the requisites to realize self in ones lifetime.
In simple word reaching our spirit means becoming a pure soul atman in the cosmic journey of life. Read more on Spirit
