Path of Spirituality not for Commoners Masses

In laymen terms, spirituality transforms to our true inner self… a realization that we were primarily a spirit, a soul atman existing in our heart. This realization does not come easily. Our ego (Aham in Hinduism) does not allow for such a happening. We have to subdue our ego in totality if we desire reaching our true inner self… our soul atman, a consciousness within.

For subduing our ego in totality we need travelling path of spirituality… path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom). Reaching our true inner self also means realizing god in all its glory. No soul atman was distinct from god. If an individual grain of sand is an independent soul atman the whole mound God Almighty. If an individual piece of puzzle is an independent soul atman the completed puzzle God Almighty.

Most human beings when to temples, churches and mosques in search of God! This was a ritual that led nowhere. One could never reach God via path of religious rituals. God can only be reached by indulgence in sacred texts of different religions of world. Only after indulgence in sacred texts we are able to distinguish truth from false. Path of jnana yoga helps us assimilate teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita, following which human beings easily reached God in their lifetime.

Path of spirituality was not for commoners, masses. Only an ardent seeker of God like Swami Vivekananda finally succeeds in knowing God in ones lifetime.
