Precepts of spirituality contained in Bhagavad Gita could not be understood literally. We can understand the inherent, hidden underlying meaning only by indulgence in path of contemplation, self enquiry, logical reasoning. As per Bhagavad Gita journey of life belonged to our soul atman, the spirit within! Our soul atman manifested human form to work out its karma, remove dross impurities within.
When a child is born and dies immature death, it results from residual balance of karma from previous manifestations. The death was bound to occur. None in cosmos including God Almighty could change this destiny of child. After death of child, released soul atman immediately manifests a new body to start new cycle of life. This circle of life completes only when soul atman reaches 8.4 millionth manifestation, last in cosmic life cycle. Everything in cosmic system was governed by inscrutable laws of karma. As we sow so shall we reap nothing less or more!
The concept of a child’s immature death can be explained by following phenomenon –
A man destined to live for 64 years of age accidentally dies at 52. The soul atman of this human being again manifests a body only for 12 years. When the child aged 12 dies the family weeps bereaved but in cosmic system nothing much happened. Instead of one single lifespan of life totaling 64 years, the soul atman would manifest two bodies aging 54 and 12 years.
While indulging in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads, we must always work with an open mind, zero bias. Understanding precepts of spirituality take time but for a serious traveler of spiritual path, unveiling hidden cosmic precepts of life contained in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads was not difficult.
