One could indulge in karma, nishkama karma way of life only if we worked for welfare of mankind all the time. Nishkama karma way of life simply means working like a trustee for whom everything all the time belonged to God Almighty. We were only an instrument in hands of God Almighty doing his bidding all the time. A true spiritual traveler was never after fruits of karma performed. Why?
Traveler of spiritual path believes that present journey of life was undertaken by our soul atman residing in our heart. Even the present journey of life belonged to our soul atman, never the manifest physical human form. In the circumstances, all karma performed by us in human form, the fruits of the same all the time belonged to our soul atman, the consciousness within.
If our perception was clear, if we were clear about our goal… there never could be any apprehension about fruits of karma performed.
Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed never indulged on path of pure spirituality for the sake of any benefit nor did Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana.
In spiritual parlance, words like benefit carried no meaning.
