Jainism was No Different from Hinduism Having same Culture almost same Following

Not directly but most Jain families not only believed in Hindu gods but also kept idols of them in their house. During Diwali time idols of Ganesha and Lakshmi could be found in most Jain homes. Jainism was no different from Hinduism, having same culture… almost same following.

One aspect of Jainism was… lesser belief in rituals. This was practiced by Digambar sect of Jainism. Digambar sect was ahead of its times. For them the body itself was clothing for our soul atman.

Though Jaina scriptures do not advocate so, but most Jain families believed in God.

Born in a Jain family I found it so difficult differentiating from Hindu culture. For me, all roads lead to God Almighty (Brahman in Hinduism).
