By Walking Path undertaken by Swami Vivekananda When We worked for Welfare of Mankind at large all the time We only saw Things that were Positive

By walking path undertaken by Swami Vivekananda… when we worked for welfare of mankind at large all the time, we only saw things that were positive. Only when our vested interest interfered, we looked at negative things in life.

Some people who were not comfortable with teachings of Swami Vivekananda planned an extempore lecture of Swami Vivekananda. They were adept with habit of Swami Vivekananda, he always spoke extempore. When Swami Vivekananda came to address the gathering, he found a white sheet tied between two trees. In the center of the white sheet was a black spot. Looking at the sheet Swami Vivekananda understood the reason behind.

Even without the hosts telling him the subject of his lecture, he started his lecture on the black dot. He started his speech saying that this black dot, this tiny spot constituted the entire cosmos.

From a small dot started entire cosmos through big bang explosion! He was wonderstruck as to how we could even visualize the small black dot, forgetting about the large white space surrounding it. He started talking on power of concentration. He emphasized on everything that was white. According to Swami Vivekananda the small space occupied by black dot constituted nothing. But spiritually, it meant a lot. Swami Vivekananda emphasized concentrating our energies on the whole white sheet instead of the small black dot that was temporal, meant nothing.

By concentrating all our energies behind a single goal of life, we can do away with all negative energies that disturbed us from time to time. Having a goal in life is of vital importance. Power of transmutation as detailed by Napoleon Hill in his famous book “law of success” explains it all. We must learn to channelize all our energies behind the only goal of life. Only then we could live a meaningful life devoid of negative energies that cluttered our thinking from time to time.
