Life as ordained by God moves ahead through a series of happiness and sufferings in life. For one indulging in positive thoughts most of time sufferings were minimal. For one indulging in negative thoughts experience of happiness was intermittent, occasional! Nothing in life was fixed. At any given moment of time it was our residual balance of karma that governed life. If the residual balance of karma was positive, we mostly experienced happiness all the time! The moment we indulged in negative thoughts, hell breaks loose!
