Path of spirituality demands absolute control over five senses and mind. Sexual inhibitions were an absolute taboo on path of pure spirituality. Not controlling but channelizing sexual energy towards the only goal of life human beings finally succeed in full of awakening of kundalini shakti, the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine! In the initial stages of spiritual pursuit all seekers were highly sensual but practicing celibacy mantra all controlled their inner urges channelizing it to awaken all seven chakras.
Spirits as detailed in Bhagavad Gita were inert but they manifest human body to work out its karma, remove dross impurities within! It was only through human form a spirit finally reaches stage of absolute purity when human beings gained enlightenment and finally moksha salvation. Spirits were pure primordial cosmic energy the composition of which was beyond comprehension of all human beings. Our soul atman, the consciousness existing in our heart was a spirit that manifests human form to reach cosmic end of life, 8.4 millionth manifestation!
Spirituality and sensuality do not go hand in hand!
