People who live forever were those who succeed in reaching stage of enlightenment and finally moksha salvation. Man gods like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed gained immortality in their lifetime. The soul atman of an enlightened one becomes liberated from cycle of birth and death forever. Even on earthly plane man gods who succeeded in reaching stage of enlightenment are remembered forever. Enlightened ones like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ; Prophet Mohammed, Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana would never be forgotten by mankind ever.
