In the wake of dharma, when society reaches a point of no return… practicing forgiveness, cowardice was not the call of day. Despite all efforts when Kauravas did not agree to give Pandavas a small piece of land… Lord Krishna emphasized on Arjuna to face the situation head-on. He advised Arjuna to prepare self to fight the enemy full-thrust. Lord Krishna said under no circumstances Kauravas could be pardoned for their act of imprudence. Morality could not be practiced when facing the enemy loaded with AK-47.
If Mahatma Gandhi advised Lala Lajpat Rai to face British lathies unarmed, the poor crusader of truth was beaten to death and for which Mahatma Gandhi was squarely to blame. We just could not practice so-called ahimsa (nonviolence) when facing enemy loaded with weapons.
Lord Krishna advises to save millions of lives; if a few are annihilated then no sin is committed. To save lives of millions of countrymen and soldiers, Chanakya got 100 kings eliminated in one night. As per Lord Krishna, Chanakya did not commit any sin. Chanakya was a totally upright and ethical teacher.
