The Difference between Lord Shiva and Lord Krishna

Lord Shiva always shown as dark blue in color with a serpent around his neck metaphorically represents a liberated soul atman, a Siddha Purusha as per Jainism… the stage after gaining moksha salvation!

Lord Krishna is shown as sarthi (charioteer) of the chariot (body) owned by Arjuna! Lord Krishna dancing on Vasuki represents an awakened one, a liberated soul atman! Metaphorically Krishna represents a pure soul atman sandwiched, encased in human body! The moment this enlightened, liberated pure soul atman left mortal frame one reaches stage of Lord Shiva!

Lord Krishna represents the stage between an enlightened one and one reaching stage of moksha salvation! In Jainism it is defined as the stage between an Arihanta and a Siddha. Until one reaches stage of Siddha the Arihanta (enlightened one) manifests physical body.
