When God Almighty (Brahman in Hinduism) exploded self with a big bang, present cosmos formed. God Almighty (Brahman), the collective power of all souls’ atmans in cosmos in their pure form! The big bang resulted in all pure souls’ atmans scattering all over cosmos at unimaginable speeds. In the melee, hurtling souls’ atmans gathered impurities similar as a rolling ball gathers moss.
To cleanse self of dross impurities within started cosmic life cycle of every soul atman. After passing 7.3 million manifestations in insect, plant and animal life, the soul atman manifested human form for the first time. The present journey of life belongs to our soul atman and not the manifest physical human form. The moment human beings reached 8.4 millionth manifestation, cosmic journey of soul atman came to an end. One finally becomes an enlightened one… a bodhi, a Jina… a Mahavira forever.
In absence of God no souls’ atmans would be there, in absence of souls atmans, human beings could not exist! It is presence of dross impurities within a soul atman that makes it undergo cycle of karma.
