When our heart stops beating, the physical body becomes dead and the released soul atman immediately manifests a new body provided matching parents were available on mother earth! When human beings indulging in spirituality reached stage of enlightenment, the soul atman liberates forever from cycle of birth and death. A pure soul atman in absence of dross impurities within need not manifest a body again! Moment an enlightened one left mortal frame one attains moksha salvation. The liberated soul atman finally enters Vaikuntha (kingdom of God), a point of no return!
