God Almighty, Brahman in Hinduism was not the form of human beings. It was magnanimous primordial cosmic energy size of half a thumb, collective power of all souls’ atmans in cosmos in their pure form.
The words religion evolved from the root word religare which means to bond. To keep the flock of like-minded individuals (human beings) bonded together… various religions, creeds and beliefs came into being. Before existence of any religion, existed Dharma…”Your right to do what is just and right and not what was destined”. Guided by dharma (inherent in all human beings)… mankind indulged in day-to-day routines of life. Hinduism religion is also termed Sanatana Dharma, a dharma existing from times immemorial… was eternal!
