The teachings of Bhagavad Gita are meant for a serious seeker, traveler of spiritual path who wanted to reach God in present life time.
We must never forget we had only one life to live… the present earthly domain limited by 70 to 80 years of earthly life. After death of present body, we do not know what form our soul atman would manifest in next life.
Whatever we wanted to achieve, we have to do it all in present life itself.
The journey of spirituality, indulgence in teachings of Bhagavad Gita must be ideally done from a young age. Only then we could succeed in establishing total control over five senses and mind, negating karma to zero forever.
Indulgence in Bhagavad Gita in old age does not really mean much. Though, all spiritual achievements of present life continued to next manifestation… still, we must try completing spiritual journey in present life itself.
Mahavira, Gautama Buddha. Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed did so and so did Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana.
