Yoga meditation was the precept, travelling path of spirituality our goal of life. Enlightenment can only be gained by travelling path of spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita.
Ever since souls atmans separated from their source God Almighty himself (Parmatman in Hinduism), they desire regaining their lost original pure prime pristine primordial form at the earliest. Yoga is derived from the root word “yog” which in Hindi stood for yoking. In Hindi two yog two equals four. The effort of soul atman to yoke with God Almighty is termed yoga meditation.
Whoever had a different notion about yoga meditation was totally ignorant in matters spiritual.
For indulgence in yoga meditation our travelling path of nishkama karma yoga was mandated by God. We had to live like a trustee… a caretaker, custodian a true soldier of God taking care of things that already belonged to God Almighty. A true nishkama karma yogi was totally aloof from fruits of karma performed. Working with an unattached attitude (never detached) is what nishkama karma all about.
Furthermore 100% faith in God was necessitated to travel spiritual path sincerely and diligently. By remaining truthful all the time one could hear the sweet small inner voice of our soul atman that seemed to come from within our heart. Guided by the voice of this soul atman, human beings finally covered their spiritual journey. For reaching stage of enlightenment full awakening of kundalini was also necessitated.
Kundalini can only be awakened fully by indulging in absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation. The moment our kundalini awakened fully, Sahasra Pushpa (thousand petalled Lotus) existing in our brain behind forehead opened fully. One immediately gained enlightenment, becoming a bodhi, a Jina… Mahavira forever! Travelling path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom) was another requirement of spiritual path. There was never a shortcut path to enlightenment.
