Both, a successful monk and the successful businessman were contented from within. For both, monk and the businessman… definition of success varied.
Monk was happy from within whereas the businessman, the entrepreneur was happy both internally and externally. Monk was happy from within for he succeeded in reaching, realizing his true inner self existing in our heart. The businessman was also content from within for he had succeeded in reaching his one and only goal. Furthermore if the entrepreneur was a philanthropist, he felt happy taking care of needy. The external workings assuaged his ego.
Stress has been laid here on the word successful. Contentment comes only when we were successful. If the monk had yet to realize his spiritual goal of life, he would never be contented from within!
