Karma does not directly relate to world of souls atmans. It was indulging in karma, the physical manifest self finally evolves itself. Seekers, travelers of spiritual path negated their karma to zero… to reach stage of enlightenment, moksha salvation!
It was only through inscrutable laws of karma and evolution life moved ahead in cosmic life cycle. To remove dross impurities within soul atman, the form manifested by soul atman… the human being indulge in karma. After death of body the residual balance of karma transfers to next life.
The released soul atman manifests the new form based on residual balance of karma at the time of death. The closing balance of present life becomes opening balance for next manifestation. At all stages of life karma was governing. In absence of karma nothing in cosmic life cycle could move ahead.
