Reaching stage of moksha salvation is the ultimate goal of life not only for a Hindu but every single human being, existing on mother earth. Belief or no belief in world of souls’ atmans, all human beings have to indulge in spirituality, yoga meditation either in present life or future manifestations. Becoming a pure soul atman forever is the ultimate goal of human life on mother earth.
As detailed in Bhagavad Gita we were primarily a spirit, consciousness existing in our heart. We manifest human form to cleanse self of dross impurities within. Indulging in spirituality, yoga meditation human beings finally reached stage of enlightenment, moksha salvation. Becoming a man god like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha… a Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed was our ultimate cosmic destiny.
If there were no dross impurities within a soul atman, it would never have manifested a body to work out its karma. As the present journey of life belonged to our soul atman, in Hinduism it is advocated that human beings indulge in spirituality to reach cosmic end of their life. However to reach stage of enlightenment God Almighty ordained a long journey of 1.1 million manifestations in human form. There never was any hurry.
As detailed in Hinduism scriptures, indulgence in sacred texts like Bhagavad Gita was necessitated to reach stage of enlightenment, moksha salvation. The jnana wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita can be understood indulging in contemplation, introspection… logical reasoning! Path to reaching God was clear ever since scriptures came into existence… delay lay in our deciding goal of present life.
