Mahabharata Epic and Pandavas

All is fair in love and war said Leo Tolstoy. This quote by Leo Tolstoy was based on epic Mahabharata.

In Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna clearly says to save lives of millions, if a few are annihilated then no sin is committed. Chanakya (the most able administrator in the history of entire mankind) to save lives of millions of soldiers and civilians got hundred kings eliminated in one night. As per Lord Krishna Chanakya did not incur any sin on this account!

Lord Krishna gave full 13 years to Kaurava Prince Duryodhana to mend his ways but Duryodhana was unrelenting. To re-establish Dharma (righteousness) against evil forces of adharma (lawlessness) instructed by Lord Krishna, Pandava prince Arjuna sometimes indulged in means that could be termed unethical. This was necessitated as it was the call of times. There was no other solution available.

In the entire episode of Mahabharata, whatever Pandavas did was in order as per Lord Krishna. How could Lord Krishna be wrong? He was an avatar… saviour, messiah of his times (god manifest in human form). As Lord Sri Krishna himself was an embodiment of Dharma (Dharmadhikari), anything indulged by him could never be wrong … morally or ethically!
