Hindu belief in Allah

Almost all school going Hindu children believed in Allah. In junior classes we were always taught that God was one but had different names. It may be called as Sanatana Purusha, Parmatman, Bhagwan, Ishwar and khuda, Allah, Hari and Karta etc.

As we grew in age, our religious beliefs narrowed. Being a Hindu we limited our belief to calling God by names that relate to Hinduism. In practice calling God as khuda or Allah was not blasphemy. Hard-core religious practitioners shunned calling God Allah.

For a true seeker, God always was Nirakaar in form (having no form). Similar as English drank water, Hindu jala and Muslims Pani… God could be called by any name… be it Bhagwan or Allah!
