Practicing Altruism Compassion was an Inherent tendency of Travelers of Spiritual Path

Practicing altruism, compassion was an inherent tendency of travelers of spiritual path. Those indulging in nishkama karma yoga all the time practiced altruism, compassion! The doctrine of “survival of the fittest” was applicable to lower forms of life particularly animal kingdom. This philosophy was not applicable to human beings of present times. Because of present scientific advancements the doctrine of “survival of the fittest” has taken a back seat. Only in nascent stages when humanity was evolving (during times of cavemen) was the philosophy “survival of the fittest” applicable.

Unless human beings catered to interest of mankind at large, one could not travel spiritual path successfully. All man gods like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed… in the initial stages of spiritual pursuit worked for benefit of mankind at large all the time.
