Brahman in Sanskrit and also as detailed in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads (independent treatises) stood for God Almighty, the one and only creator of present cosmos! If an individual grain of sand is an independent soul atman the whole mound God Almighty (Brahman). The collective power of all souls’ atmans in cosmos in their pure form is what we called Brahman (God Almighty) in all its glory.
