Dogged by Affection Moha Extreme Emotional Attachment for Relatives Friends and Countrymen Arjuna behaved Cowardly in the Battle of Mahabharata

Dogged by affection, Moha (extreme emotional attachment) for relatives, friends and countrymen Arjuna behaved cowardly in the battle of Mahabharata, aptly termed battle of Dharma (to uplift righteousness). The enemy camp of Kauravas included maternal grandfather Bhishma Pitamah and Guru Dronacharya of Arjuna, both of whom were extremely revered by Arjuna and the Pandava camp.

Arjuna did not want to be instrumental in the death of thousands of soldiers, for the sake of kingdom. Until delivery of sermon of Bhagavad Gita Arjuna was an ordinary mortal! After gaining jnana wisdom from sermon of Bhagavad Gita, Arjuna contemplated and realized that human body was ephemeral, temporal and as the one representing his country he had to fight. The personal bondages kept no meaning in a war of dharma. The battle of Mahabharata was a fight to finish for re-establishing Dharma. The moment Arjuna gained enlightenment; he prepared himself to fight Kauravas head-on.
