How do we define moksha? In Hinduism, even in Jainism moksha is the stage when an enlightened one left mortal frame forever. The soul atman finally liberated self from cycle of birth and death forever. The liberated soul atman finally enters abode of God, kingdom of God (Vaikuntha in Hinduism)… never kingdom of heaven (swarga).
Mukti… liberation from cycle of birth and death simply means as a soul atman reaching stage of absolute purity forever. Ever since souls’ atmans got mired in impurities, they underwent a cycle of 8.4 million manifestations to cleanse self of dross impurities within. No sooner life supporting planets like mother earth evolved in cosmic system, souls’ atmans started manifesting life.
The journey of a soul atman starts with form of an amoeba (single cell formation), the first manifestation in cosmic life cycle. It further evolves into multi-cell formation, insect life, plant life, animal life and finally the human form. Liberation from cycle of birth and death can only be obtained in human form, never lower forms of life. By travelling spiritual path human beings finally succeed in negating karma to zero.
Negating karma to zero means, a soul atman in absence of dross impurity within gaining absolute purity forever. The cosmic journey of life for a soul atman finally comes to an end.
In spiritual parlance both Moksha and Mukti meant the same.
As detailed in Bhagavad Gita, the sermon given to mankind by Lord Krishna above 3600 years before now… Moksha was one and so was Mukti. Those who had different notions about moksha and mukti were totally ignorants of spiritual path. In Bhagavad Gita everything has been detailed with crystal clarity. There was no chance of ambiguity ever. For a serious traveler of spiritual path, a true seeker both moksha and mukti meant the same.
I started in search of God six years of age. By 13 my desire wish to see and meet God in this very life became absolute. 25 years of yoga meditation I finally realized self, realized god. This is my last manifestation on mother earth, 8.4 millionth manifestation. The moment I leave my mortal frame I shall attain moksha salvation, reach stage of mukti liberation forever.
